Inn By The Sea Wedding, Cape Elizabeth, ME: Casey & John

We returned from California last week and were greeted with 5 days of cold, wet weather.  We kept our fingers crossed that the clouds would clear in time for our wedding coverage at The Inn By The Sea in Cape Elizabeth, Maine… but the forecast looked doubtful.  It rained all morning, but started to brighten just a bit by the time we began photographing, and our fantastic clients (Casey & John), decided to tough it out and risk a few rain drops, rather than go inside.

That small risk was a great decision… as these two Utah folks had a beautiful ceremony overlooking one of Maine’s prettiest beaches despite the threat of rain.  And as their photos show, the cold weather couldn’t slow these two down; not even for a moment.  Enjoy the photos below… we’ve posted all of these (plus a bunch more) on our Facebook page here.  Likewise, their complete photos are in an online gallery here!  You can download or purchase prints from that link as well!

The grim forecast.

Luckily, the wedding party arrived prepared. Nothing a few umbrellas and boots couldn’t handle.

The exquisite back of her dress required A LOT of help to tie up.

Casey and her dad.

A passing detail… her dress and flowers down the aisle.

John’s first look at his bride.

Casey’s mom presided over the wedding.

Catching a bouquet is serious stuff. Biting is allowed!

Personalized Stonewall Kitchen Jam!  Nice touch.

Nothing like a Sperry Tent.

The after wedding cigar.

And we had to get one of Casey with a cigar too.

Casey and John: THANK YOU for having us at your wedding!  Your love for one another is so obvious, so beautiful.  We had an absolute blast with your family and friends.  In fact, I think we’ll be hanging out with some of them even after you return home to Utah.  They were that fun!  Congratulations on having such a fantastic wedding and we hope our paths will cross again either in Park City, Utah or back here in Maine.  We were honored to document your day for you!

Sharon - Brian, you captured another wedding beautifully and made it stunningly unique. I love all of the shots that made it “their own” with the Hunter boots, the gorgeous shot amongst the trees and the cigars. Lovely work as usual for a gorgeous couple.ReplyCancel
